Testing a theory.

Intro:
The newer cameras have better technology that can do things such as face recognition...
A function on my camera that I could rarely get to work is the smile function.

Technically the smile function does this:
- press shutter as if taking real photo to put it in "smile mode"
- face recognition kicks in
- camera detects face... NEED TO TAKE PICTURE
- camera tells shutter to release.
- picture taken.
no extra button pressing is necessary as long as someone is smiling..

Theory:
Boy had a theory that the smile function will get off whenever something white is around the mouth...

Method:
Cutting out paper mouths with a black marker.
Stick them on mouth.
See if camera captures the image.

Result:

[painting smiling ... the camera detected the fake smile and took the photo]

Conclusion:
Sony aint as smart as it can be.
A painting can't change and smile LOL

Jamie Olivers: Eat to save your life

Force feeding ducks/geese ain't on. :(

I was so shocked to hear how foie gras was made. I knew it was duck liver but I had no idea they had to overfeed the foul to get it that size!
For some reason I have no objection to other meats; I'm not a vegetarian. But overfeeding an animal seems so... harsh?

It's so engorged :-(
(I had images of the two livers up but it sickened me to see it on my plain page...)

World of Lomography

It started with a slight obsession with taking photos.
I want to capture the moment sometimes.
Sometimes memories aren't enough. Visuals can help trigger the good times.

Digi cams are good. They're fine.
They do the job, but until I get an SLR I'm happy playing with lomograph.
Holga 120 with flash is fun but gets annoying since I can't print the photos yet.

THEN came along little mysticblu3 and her smashing 21st present to me
(see the hint in this photo):

Yes sir-eee bob, a fisheye. In bright blue!
Just uploaded my photos from my first ever lomography prints - yess they're not fab as I was getting used to the settings/lighting/best way to take the photos :-) :

(My girly wall of photos. It's literally a load of photos on string tied onto a curtain rod suspended high)

(I've always had an obsession with babushka dolls... they're so sweet)

(Along the Yarra in the city.)

In summary:
my new fisheye makes me happy in the pants.

what's with kids these days?

Get a brain *sigh*
use a dictionary.
be more educated.
appreciate it when your parents cough up the money to send you to a private school.
stop being unappreciative.

they're falling so short from their potentials it's quite sad :(

you know you're an addict when...

I'm clearly a Chanel addict.
No doubt about it...
But here are some things that confirm this notion

1. Bf's friend:
-escobar.co.jp- says: (7:11:41 PM)
LOL
-escobar.co.jp- says: (7:11:57 PM)
i was in chanel yesterday
-escobar.co.jp- says: (7:11:59 PM)
it reminded me of u

2. I couldn't sleep last night so instead of reading a book... I turn to tpf's Chanel subforum to rock me to sleep

3. I try and convince all my friends to get a Chanel

New chanel lemmings:
- Med Portabello in tweed on black
- Lambskin classic timeless clutch (for A and I)
- lambskin wallet on chain

20's

Love the Pharmvegas theme for our uni ball.
In anticipation I have the following ideas ready.

I'm thinking of making it. The bottom bit with silk or fringing fabric (all frilly)
The top half with a silk top but with gold embellishments or something more ratata

So an excuse to get some t-bars ;)!
